Description

Day 1 – Check in at Preá

Welcome to Rancho Do Peixe! We will have a welcome meeting in the afternoon at 3pm to get to know each other, followed by a warm up session to acclimate to the kiting conditions and test your equipment out front of the hotel. We will enjoy an amazing dinner at 7pm at the main restaurant, located in the middle of the hotel. (Rancho do Peixe)

Please make sure all your bags (including kite bags) are tagged with your name when checking in.

Day 2 – Preá to Tatajuba  (35km)

We will meet for breakfast at 8am and have a briefing at 9am. This routine will be done everyday and is very important to discuss the details of the route, specific risks or cautious areas, and define stops and strategic meeting points.

Please take all luggage and personal belongings to reception promptly after the briefing, as they will be loaded into the transfer vehicles. Your kite equipment will be at the kite storage area on the beach and will be loaded into the vehicles from there.

Our first downwind is a special one for those who live here, or frequent Preá and Jeri as a kite location. The long beach of Preá has the best wind along the coast, often over 30 knots and some nice waves along the way passing the cliffs and famous Pedra Furada (the arched rock), as well as passing the famous Beach of Jericoacoara and the Sunset Dune. We finally will arrive at the native fishing village of Tatajuba, where you will enjoy one of the most remote places in the entire region.

Day 3 – Tatajuba to Camocim (28km)

Leaving the charming village of Tatajuba behind, we make our way downwind, passing through and crossing a river past the town of Camocim, where our amazing, beachfront bungalows await. Dinner is served up on the hill at 7pm at Baía das Caraúbas. Enjoy a great night’s rest, with more to come tomorrow!

Day 4 – Camocim to Curimans (32km)

In this part of the route we continue our downwind passing through one of the most beautiful and deserted parts of the coast of Ceará. We will arrive at the small fishing village called Curimans and spend the night here. Upon our arrival, relax and make yourself at home. A great dinner will be served around 7pm!

Day 5 – Curimans to Barra Grande (28km)

We will pass through an amazing river called Bitupitá, a truly unbelievable landscape. Afterwards we’ll arrive in a small, colorful fishermen village of Barra Grande to have a great dinner in town at 7pm and good night sleep at Pousada BGK. Enjoy to the maximum this location!
